family of Pvt. Ira B. Daugherty extends to both Ira and to all the Warriors
of the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team our collective best wishes for all
possible success during your current combat operations in Iraq. We admire
the dedication to the values of our nation that is represented by your
selfless service. Each of you should realize how proud we are of you, that
we deeply appreciate your service and that it serves as a rallying point for

Ira Daugherty
has taken a temporary departure from his Winchester roots. Private
Daugherty, of the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, has traded in
Ale-8 and green fields for H20 and desert terrain. He has just
embarked on his first tour to Iraq. A loving son, brother, uncle and
boyfriend, Pvt. Daugherty keeps his family in his heart. To a true
soldier, stoic and brave, full of compassion and strength, talented and
driven. Daugherty we salute you!!
